From January 1988, the short multi-splined adapter sleeve is being replaced in production by a long multi-splined adapter sleeve. However, the short multi-splined adapter sleeve remains valid for the Service Department.

Designation:

•     1 -    Short multi-splined adapter sleeve, Part No. 191 419 514 A

•     2 -    Long multi-splined adapter sleeve, Part No. 191 419 514

→ In conjunction with this the spacer sleeve is replaced by a spring

•     1 -    Multi-splined adapter sleeve
•     2 -    Spring
•     3 -    Suppot ring

The long multi-splined adapter sleeve presses directly on the spring. The spring is supported on steering lock housing.

The groove in the column (for clamp bolt) must be in line with the slot in the shaft (-arrows-).
