  Note
When making repairs to the clutch, take care not to damage ball valve -arrow-.
   
1 - Retaining ring
q   Mark after removing and insert at same point
2 - Pressure plate
q   Insert with smooth side facing inner plates
q   Thickness for clutches with
3 - Outer plate
q   Quantity for gearboxes ►12.92 → Chapter
q   Quantity for gearboxes 01.93 ► → Chapter
4 inner plates “6.5 mm”
5 inner plates “4.9 mm”
4 - Inner plate
q   Quantity for gearboxes ►12.92 → Chapter

5 - Corrugated washer
6 - Retaining ring
q   Removing and installing → Fig.
q   Installation position → Fig.
7 - Spring support plate
q   With springs
q   Installation position → Fig.
8 - Spring support ring
9 - Piston
q   Sealing lips are vulcanised to piston
q   Moisten lips of seals with ATF before installing
q   Turn piston slightly when installing
10 - Clutch housing with clutch tube

   
Removing and installing retaining ring -arrow-
Removing
–  Carefully press down spring support plate (do not bend) and spread retaining ring.
Installing
–  Set new retaining ring in place and carefully press down spring support plate. The spring support plate must be centred on the hub or the plate will be bent.

Retaining ring -arrow- must be seated in the groove of clutch housing. Spring support plate must be centred relative to hub.
