Assembly overview - vane pump, reservoir and hydraulic lines
No provision is made for repairing the vane pump. In event of complaints, determine the cause with the help of the pressure test and leakage test, and → fault finding programme running gear No. 10. If a fault is detected, renew the vane pump.
  Note
t  If fluid level in reservoir is low, check steering system for leaks.
t  If leakage appears near pipe connections, first check lines and connections for leaks, tighten connections as necessary and wipe dry.
t  Replacement pumps are not filled with fluid. Therefore it is essential to fill pump with hydraulic fluid -G 002 000- and to rotate pump by hand. Otherwise pump may be damaged or be noisy during operation.
t  Fluid type: hydraulic fluid -G 002 000-
t  Fluid capacity in system: 0.7 ... 0.9 l.
