| Apply handbrake firmly! |
| This prevents undesired vehicle movement. |

| In the event of power assisted steering malfunctions, check whether the electric motor/electrics or the pump/hydraulics are the cause. |

| Start engine and actuate Ecomatic button on wiper arm (warning lamp in instrument cluster lights up). |

| By listening and/or touching, determine whether steering hydraulics pump -V119- is working. |
| If steering hydraulics pump -V119- is not working, delivery pressure must be checked in event of complaints. |
