Removing and installing assembly carrier
  Note
t  The removal and installation sequence is only for the right assembly carrier. Removal and installation of the left assembly carrier are similar.
t  The bolts -3- have left-handed threads.
t  The assembly carriers for 2-door and 4-door are the same. The door of the 2-door model has an additional cover.
t  A crash sensor is also fitted to the subframe. Observe the safety regulations when working on pyrotechnic components → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.69.
Window regulator, window regulator motor and loudspeaker are secured to the assembly carrier.
The assembly carrier and the window regulator are connected to each other, non-detachable.
Assembly carrier can only be removed when door window is unbolted at window regulator clamping bolts. To do this, lower door window to the height of the assembly holes in assembly carrier and loosen clamping bolts.
If door window cannot be lowered with electric window regulators, first determine the precise cause of the fault.
To do this, read the event memory of the convenience system using -VAS 5052-vehicle diagn. service information system -VAS 5052 A- → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
If an electrical fault exists, rectify it first.
If an electric fault occurs due to window regulator motor, it can be unbolted from assembly carrier and door window can be pushed by hand to the necessary repair position.
