Removing
Fitting location → Item
–  Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.

–  Clamp off coolant hoses from the engine oil cooler with the hose clips up to 25 mm -3094-.
–  Undo the spring clips using -arrow-with the spring clip pliers -VAS 6362-.
  Note
Collect escaping coolant with drip tray -VAS 6208-.
–  Pull coolant hoses off engine oil cooler.
–  Remove oil filter bracket with engine oil cooler → Chapter
  N19-10161
–  Release and pull off connector on engine with assembly tool -T10118-.
  A23-10423
–  Loosen securing bolt -arrow- with socket AF 4 mm -T10370- and remove speed sender.
Installing
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
–  Install oil filter bracket with engine oil cooler.
–  Replenish coolant → Chapter.
  N13-10048
Specified torques
ComponentSpecified torque
Engine speed sender -G28-5 Nm
Oil filter bracket → Chapter „Removing and installing engine oil cooler“
