Sunroof / Moonroof Frame: Service and Repair
Early Production Version

Removal

Sunroof base plate and frame, removal (early production version) 

Note:  Early production base plate should always be lifted out of the vehicle completely before the sunroof frame is taken out.

 
Remove: 

Remove sunroof.  See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair

Manual sunroof

Remove:

-  crank.
-  cover.

Power sunroof

- Remove cover.
- Loosen motor screws slightly.

Place protective cover on roof in front of sunroof to protect It from dirt.

Remove headlining.
