Sunroof / Moonroof Interior Trim Panel: Service and Repair

Sunroof headlining, replacement 
 
 

Open sunroof at rear edge.

Pull headlining to rearmost position. Lower sunroof to closed position.

Detach sunroof headlining from sunroof.

Remove sunroof.  See: Sunroof / Moonroof Panel/Service and Repair

Pull sunroof headlining as far forward as possible.

Power sunroof:

- Remove cover over motor.
- Loosen two retaining screws on motor.
- Release gear from cables.

Press down and move control mechanisms including cross-channel forwards approx 10 mm.

Manual sunroof:

- Turn crank to move forward rear control mechanisms.

Power sunroof:

- Move control mechanisms by hand.
