940 L4-2.3L SOHC VIN 88 B230F (1992)
Note:
Ensure that guide pin is located in heater housing.
Tighten in position using five countersunk screws (Torx T20) and ensure that gasket is correctly positioned.
Drill 18 mm (11/16") hole in fan housing using hole saw with adapter as template. Remove all plastic shavings.
Install new connector
Cut cable lugs off existing wires.
Attach two new cable lugs (p/n 949680-3). Press lugs home into connector with black-white wire connected to connector wires (pin 2).
If there are no further modifications needed, refer to "Installation".
MODIFICATION B (modifying blower motor cover to fit wiring connector):
Measures to be carried out when replacing motor
Cut out cover as illustrated to provide clearance between cover and connector. Illustration shows cut-out as viewed from outside cover.
