Cut-out should face outward from center of cover on all variants.
Cut-out should be approx. 5 mm (3/16") deep and 18 mm (11/16") wide.
Smooth cut edges. Remove plastic waste and other debris.
If there are no further modifications needed, refer to "Installation".
MODIFICATION C (drilling drainage hole in blower motor cover):
Drill 5 mm (3/16") diameter drainage hole in recess in center of cover.
Note:
If there is currently a 3 mm (1/8") hole (late '92-early'93) enlarge to 5 mm (3/16") to eliminate possible whistle noise.
If there are no further modifications needed, refer to "Installation".
Installation
Assemble blower motor and cover using rubber gasket (A).
Install foam rubber seal around drain outlet as illustrated (B).
