Air Bag: Description and Operation
Bag Assembly

    The bag assembly consists of an inflatable bag and a gas generator, the assembly is mounted in the center of the steering wheel. A two-pole connector
with gold-plated terminals for maximum conductivity is mounted at rear of the assembly. When the connector is opened, the terminals are short circuited
to prevent inadvertent operation of the system by static electricity or careless handling. The bag assembly must never be disassembled.
