Seat Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
Tensioner Assembly Replace
1. Disarm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming".
2. Push front seat forward.
3. Remove B-pillar inner panel.
4. Remove seat side pocket, lift at front and push rearward.
5. Remove seat belt collar bolt.
6. Disconnect belt tensioner connector.
7. Remove seat belt reel to B-pillar attaching bolts.
8. Remove plunger tube attaching screw.
9. Thread seat belt through slot in B-pillar panel.
10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
11. Tighten attaching screws to specification.
12. After completing installation, arm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming".
13. Disarm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.
