Shift Lever Housing: Adjustments
Gear Selector Mechanism, Basic Adjustment
1. Move gear selector to position P.
Rod And Strut Locknuts
2. Undo control rod and reaction strut locknuts.
3. Check that selector link on gearbox is in position P (Rearmost position). Turn output shaft on gearbox until movement is blocked.

4. Adjust gear lever arm (a) to vertical (or slightly forward) position and tighten locknut. Gear selector lever may bump against instrument panel if
arm is adjusted too far back.
5. Press reaction arm backwards until slight resistance is felt. tighten locknut at reduced torque of approx. 5 Nm (3.5 ft.lb).
