Axle Bearing: Service and Repair
DRIVE SHAFT BEARING AND/OR SEAL, REPLACEMENT
Special tools: 1801, 2412, 5009, 5010, 5212, 5242, 5243
Remove:
-
Rear wheel
-
Brake caliper (tie to rear spring)
-
Brake disc
-
Brake pads
Remove pressure plate bolts
Withdraw drive shaft
-
Use brake disc as illustrated.
-
Position nuts with tapered end facing outwards.
Remove seal
-
Use long screwdriver.
-
Clean Inside of rear axle tube.
