1. Disconnect the propeller shaft. Use tool P/N 5244 for a round coupling flange.
2. Remove the coupling flange nut. Use spanner P/N 5149 to prevent the flange from rotating.
3. Remove the coupling flange using puller P/N 2261. Use a screwdriver to pry out the seal.

4. Fit the new seal. Use drift: P/N 2412 for the M46 and P/N 5064 for the M47.
5. Press the coupling flange into place. Use press tool P/N 1845.
6. Fit the coupling flange nut.

Tighten to: 175 Nm (126 ft lbs) on the M46 and 90-110 Nm (65-80 ft lbs) on the M47.

7. Connect the propeller shaft.
