Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Differential Side Seal
1. Jack up car
2. Remove bolts and nuts securing upper and lower sections of rear axle member.
3. Remove bolts holding inner and outer drive (axle) shafts Withdraw drive (axle) shaft towards wheel and allow shaft to rest against lower section of
rear axle member.
4. Withdraw inner drive (axle) shaft from final drive Use lever.
Wash drive (axle) shaft clean.
5. Remove seal Use drift 4078.
