Pull off gaiter.

Clamp drive shaft in vise 

Wipe grease from CV joint.

Note! 

Measure and note distance between edge of shaft and inner race. It is important that joint be located in same position when reassembling.

Tap CV joint off shaft. 

Note! 

Only tap inner race to ensure that ball cage and outer race are not damaged. Tap at opposite points around periphery.

Remove:
-

original gaiter from drive shaft

-

original snap ring

Wash drive shaft clean.

Reconditioning kit

Use only grease supplied in kit.

Note that spare outer clip is different from original component.
