Release drive shaft from final drive
Use screwdriver. Prise and tap alternately between CV joint housing and final drive to release snap ring.
Remove:

drive shaft Take care to avoid damage to seal in final drive.
Replacement of drive shaft seal
Remove seal Use tool 999 4078.

Inspect carefully to ensure that no residue of seal remains in final drive.
Install new seal
Lubricate seal with wheel bearing grease, P/N 1161241-3. Press in seal with drift 999 5564.

Tap in seal until drift bottoms against stop in final drive housing.
Final drive, replacement of gaiter
Remove:
-
clips.
