S60 L5-2.4L VIN 64 B5244S6 (2003)
Pull the end mounting apart.
Remove the deformation element (F), the plastic washers and the Oring.
Replace the deformation element.
NOTE: The O-ring (A) in the repair kit must be used for all models.
Installing the WHIPS system
The green indicator (G) supplied must only be installed on the deformation element in cars up to the following chassis number, S60: -1499
Install:

the deformation element (F), the plastic washers and the O-ring
-
the spindle (E)
-
the nut (B). Tighten the nut. Tighten to 17 Nm ± 1 Nm

the spring (D).
Position the seat in the normal position.
NOTE: The two plastic washers and the O-ring must be correctly positioned. Check that the indicator pin is intact and is correctly positioned after
installation.
Reinstall all other removed components.
