Loosen the screw but do not remove it. The screw should be loose enough to turn with your fingers.
CDA8. Connecting the battery negative lead

Drive the car slowly in a straight line forwards or backwards on a level surface so that the wheels are directly in line with the car lengthways.
CAUTION! It is imperative that the front wheels are directly in line with the car lengthways if the steering wheel and/or the contact reel need to
be removed to do work.
WARNING! Do not drive the car further than necessary when aligning the front wheels. The steering wheel is not secured and the steering wheel
air bag module is removed.
CDA10. Disconnecting the battery negative lead
Ignition off.
