Tighten the retaining screw in the centre of the steering wheel. Torque setting = 40 Nm (30 ft-lb).
CD A25. Installation of steering wheel airbag module
Ignition off and disconnect the battery negative lead
WARNING! Do not connect the battery when removing or installing the steering wheel airbag module.
Removal of the special tools
Remove the special tool 998 8695.
WARNING! Never use an ohmmeter or any other charged measuring instrument on a disconnected, unreleased airbag module. There is a risk
that the module could be released.
Ignition in position I
Turn the ignition key to position I to unlock the steering lock.
