Position the winches as illustrated. Secure the long end of the wire in the right-hand winch. Raise about 20 cm.
Check that the loose end of the wire is not slipping.
Secure the other end of the wire to the left winch.
Wind in the wire using both the winches until the wire is against the locating pins at (1).
