XC90 L5-2.5L Turbo VIN 59 B5254T2 (2004)
Expose the steering wheel lock. Turn the steering wheel so that the screw in the mounting for the steering shaft joint points straight ahead.
Tighten the lower screw on the steering shaft joint mounting in the steering gear from the engine compartment. Tighten to Tightening torque See:
Specifications/Mechanical Specifications. Use a new screw.
Finishing
Install:
-
the fluid reservoir return hose
-
the clips for the cable harness along the hose
-
the delivery line on the power steering pump. Tighten. See: Tightening torque See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications.
Use a new O-ring on the pipe at the power steering pump.
Install:
-
the clamp on the stay between the power steering pump / engine
-
the battery lead.
Fill the reservoir with oil.
Note! Use Volvo power steering fluid, P/N 1161529-1 to ensure the correct oil quality.
