Remove the seal.
Check that no seal residue is left.

Lubricate the edges of the new seal using automatic transmission fluid.
Install locating pin999 5769 Pilot See: Tools and Equipment/999 5769 Pilot.
Install the seal on the locating pin. Use drift 999 5770 Drift See: Tools and Equipment/999 5770 Drift.
Tap in the seal until the drift is against the transmission.
Remove the locating pin.
Install the drive shaft. See Replacing the front left drive shaft See: Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and Repair/Drive Shaft Left, Replacing.
Check the oil level. See Oil level, checking See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Procedures/Oil Level, Checking.
Install the splashguard under the engine.

Right-hand side

Preparatory work

Remove the drive shaft. See Replacing the front right drive shaft See: Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and Repair/Drive Shaft Right, Replacing.

Removing the differential seals, right-hand side

Place a container underneath the transmission.
Install the cap nut for extractor 999 5768 Puller See: Tools and Equipment/999 5768 Puller.
Lightly grease the locating pin on the extractor.
Use a ratchet with an extension and socket. Press the extractor in against the seal at the same time as the extractor is turned.
Tighten so that the threaded cone screws firmly into the seal.
