Caution! The propeller shaft may not be lifted without first protecting the rubber gaiter.

If any part of the propeller shaft is to be disconnected, use a jack to support that part of the propeller shaft until it is suspended.
If the whole propeller shaft is to be removed, both parts must be supported.
