Coolant Pump - Vehicles Built From: 04-2005 > < Thermostat
Engine Cooling - 1.4L Duratec-16V (Sigma)/1.6L Duratec-16V (Sigma) - Coolant Pump—Vehicles Built Up To: 04/2005 Focus 2004.75 (07/2004-)
Removal and Installation

  1. Loosen the coolant pump pulley retaining bolts.
  1. Drain the cooling system.
    For additional information, refer to: Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding (303-03A Engine Cooling - 1.4L Duratec-16V (Sigma)/1.6L Duratec-16V (Sigma), General Procedures).
  1. Remove the accessory drive belt.

    Accessory Drive Belt - 1.4L Duratec-16V (Sigma)/1.6L Duratec-16V (Sigma), Vehicles Without: Air Conditioning (303-05A Accessory Drive, Removal and Installation).
  1. lower the vehicle.

5. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

CAUTION:Protect the timing belt and lower cover from contamination by the coolant.
