Throttle Valve Injection Housing, Remove and
Install (X 16 SZR)
Caution
Fuel escapes – observe safety and local regulations. Fuel
system is under pressure. Remove fuel pump relay – see
operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install". Start engine at
least 5 sec. – fuel pressure reduction.

 Remove
Remove air intake cover – see illustration "Air Ducts (X
16 SZR)".
Detach wiring harness plug for injector (1), throttle valve
potentiometer (4) and idle speed stepper motor (7). Remove fuel
supply line (3) and fuel return line (5) from throttle body. Remove
accelerator throttle valve (8). Detach vacuum hose for intake
manifold pressure sensor (2) and tank vent valve hose (6) from
throttle valve injection housing.
Unscrew fastening nuts (9) and remove throttle valve injection
housing from intake manifold.

 Clean
Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket residues.
Install
Attach throttle valve injection housing with new gasket to
intake manifold – tightening torque 22 Nm / 16.2 lbf. ft.
Insert fastening nuts with screw locking compound (red).
Connect vacuum hose for intake manifold pressure sensor and tank
vent valve hose to throttle valve injection housing.
Install throttle valve of accelerator.
Attach fuel supply line and fuel return line to throttle valve
guards – tightening torque 15 Nm / 11 lbf. ft.
Connect wiring harness plug to injector, throttle valve
potentiometer and idle speed stepper motor.
Attach air intake cover – see illustration "Air Ducts (X
16 SZR)".
Install fuel pump relay – see operation "Fuel Pump Relay,
Remove and Install".
