With the ignition on (MAR position), the check does not indicate if a door is open

Check:

  • service fuse
  • ignition-operated service fuse
  • supply to check instrument
  • earth for check instrument
  • connections between check and lock switches
  • connection between check and boot switch
  • earth for lock switches

(Wiring diagram E4020 TACHOMETER ).

OK

Move onto step 2

Component defective
  • Replace the component involved (if a fuse is involved, search for the cause of the problem)

End of diagnosis

Connections broken
  • Restore the connections (

2CHECK LOCK SWITCHES

Check that the door lock switches are working

OK

Move onto step 3

Fault in front door switches
  • Check and if necessary replace the door lock motors Op. 7005N21

Fault in rear door switches
  • Check and if necessary replace the door lock motorsOp. 7010N21

Central door locking not working either

3CHECK ON CHECK INSTRUMENT

Check the operation of the check instrument see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5560 Instruments (see 5560F)
