CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM NOISY / (IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT)

Whilst driving there is noise coming from the fan. This diagnosis can only be made after

See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVING

Carry out the latter first.

The climate control is working normally but there is excessive noise coming from the passenger compartment fan.

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Having carried out the road test, during the See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVING there was a noise from the front identified as a noise coming from the passenger compartment fan.	Move on to Step 1
1	FAN CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the climate control fan. In particular, check: that the fan and spiral is clean, if there are any foreign bodies, deposits of dust on the vanes and/or leaves remove them/blow through moving the fan from the engine support; that there are no breaks or cracks in the fan; there are no vibrations or noise at low speed (check the operation with the fan detached from the assembly but the electrical connection fitted). "The operation for determining vibrations should be carried out with great care wearing protective goggles to avoid fragments of the fan being expelled into the surrounding area"	Move on to Step 2	1.Fan dirty	1.Clean the fan casing and all the ducts.
			2.Presence of breaks or cracks in the fan.	2.Replace the fan. Op. 5040C30 AIR CONDITIONING FAN - R.R.
			3. Electric motor noisy, fan not balanced or blades.	3. Replace the fan. Op. 5040C30 AIR CONDITIONING FAN - R.R.
2	AIR DUCT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check for foreign bodies and damaged components inside the air ducts.	Move on to Step 3	Presence of foreign bodies or damaged components inside the air ducts.	Eliminate the obstructions from the dashboard ducts.
3	AIR VENT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the vents are intact and that there are no foreign bodies that could give rise to noise.	Move on to Step 4	Vents obstructed.	Restore the operation of the vents.
4	POLLEN FILTER CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the pollen filter is not blocked and that the recirculation air intake is not blocked with foreign bodies or parts (e.g. wiring) that are not correctly fitted.	Move on to Step 5	1. Filter obstructed.	1. Replace the filter element Op. 5010B09 PURIFYING (POLLEN) FILTER FILTER ELEMENT - REPLACE
		Move on to Step 5	2. Air intake blocked by foreign bodies.	2. Eliminate the obstructions and restore correct operation.
5	FAN INTAKE CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fan intake in the air intake chamber is not blocked by the presence of foreign bodies.	End of diagnosis	Presence of foreign bodies in the air intake chamber.	Eliminate the obstructions and restore correct operation.
