WINDSCREEN WIPER NOISY

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Lift the wper arms off the glass, turn on the panel and select one of the functions (e.g. intermittence) to see whether the noise persists.Move on to Step 1The noise is no longer present.

Replace the wiper blades and/or wiper arms.

1CHECK THE WIPER IS CORRECTLY FASTENEDALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Turn off the function selected previously using the stalk command and turn off the panel. Then remove the wiper arms and panel to ensure the windscreen wiper is correctly fastened to the body.

Move on to Step 2Incorrect fastening of the windscreen wiper.Restore the correct fastening of the windscreen wiper.
2CHECK THE WINDSCREEN WIPER LINKAGEALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Turn off the instrument panel and check the linkage movement is correct, in particular:

  • ensure the linkage does not interfere with the body or is hindered by foreign bodies present in the wiper housing.
  • check that the windscreen wiper unit has been correctly assembled.
End of diagnosis1. The linkages interfere with the body.1. Restore the linkages to correct working order.
2. Foreign bodies present in the windscreen wiper housing.2. Remove the foreign bodies from the windscreen wiper housing.
3. Incorrect assembly of the windscreen wiper.

3. Replace the windscreen wiper unit
