FRONT DOORS CREAKING

With the vehicle moving, particularly over rough ground or during acceleration or braking, noise can be heard from the one of the front doors.

1	CHECK DASHBOARD/DOOR PANEL COUPLING	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the door panel and dashboard are correctly coupled	Move on to Step 2	Faulty dashboard fastening.	Restore the correct fastening of the dashboard. Restore the felt pads if necessary
2	CHECK DOOR FASTENINGS	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the fastening: of the door opening limiter; of the hinges (upper and lower); of the lock.	Move on to Step 3	1. Faults in limiter fastening.	1. If necessary, lubricate the limiter and restore the correct fastening Op. 7005A28 FRONT SIDE DOOR LIMITER - R.R.
			2. Faults in hinge fastening.	2. If necessary, lubricate the hinge pin and restore the correct fastening Op. 7005A24 FRONT SIDE DOOR HINGES (BOLTED) - R.R. WITH DOOR DETACHED
			3. Faults in lock fastening.	3. Restore the correct fastening of the lock Op. 7005N21 FRONT SIDE DOOR LOCK MOTOR/LOCK ASSEMBLEY FOR ONE DOOR, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.
			4. Faults in striker.	4. Check that the striker fastening is correct Op. 7005B14 FRONT SIDE DOOR LOCK STRIKER - R.R
3	CHECK DOOR PANEL	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Remove the door panel and check for foreign bodies inside the door. Op. 7005E10 FRONT SIDE DOOR INTERIOR PANEL - R.R.	Move on to Step 4	Foreign bodies present.	Remove the foreign bodies.

			4. Faults in linkage fastening.	4. Restore the linkage fastening clips, see Assembly Op. 7005C FRONT DOOR LOCK CONTROLS
