Replacement

1. Release the intermediate bush from the eyelet of the clamping lever.
2. Release the bushing from the cable.

1. If necessary, slacken the screw.
2. Remove the bonnet locking lever.

• Remove all the components in the engine compartment that prevent access to the bonnet opening control cable. Release the sheath from the fastening clamps.

• Working in the passenger compartment, remove the underdash panels on the driver’s side (see specific paragraph).

REPLACEMENT

1. Release the bonnet opening handle from its fulcrum.
2. Remove the plug.
3. Withdraw the bonnet opening control cable pawl from the handle, then remove the handle.

1. Using a pincer remove the control cable from the fastening bracket.

• Tie a wire on the end of the control cable on the passenger compartment side to facilitate its retrieval.

• Refit a new bonnet opening control cable reversing the sequence followed for removal and adjust as described below.
