Dismantling
l  Locking collar with synchronising hub removed → Chapter
–  Unclip hooks -A- of check ring from synchronising hub using a screwdriver.
–  Remove check ring.

–  Take off springs -1- before dismantling.

l  Installation position: the groove on the top -arrow A- and the higher collar -arrow B- on the synchronising hub face towards 5th gear.

Assembling
–  To assemble, slide locking collar over synchronising hub.
l  Installation position: the smaller slots -arrow C- for the locking pieces in the synchronising hub should be in line with the slots -arrow D- in the locking collar.

–  Insert locking pieces in the deeper slots -arrows- and install springs off-set by 120°. Angled end of spring must locate in hollow locking piece.

–  Push check ring onto tube -2010-.
–  Insert check ring together with tube -2010- into 5th gear synchronising hub/locking collar (observe installation position → Chapter).
l  Hooks -arrow 1- engage in slots -arrow 2- for locking pieces in synchronising hub.
–  Push check ring downwards until hooks engage.
–  Pull off tube -2010-.
