Adjusting handbrake
  Note
Adjustment is only necessary if handbrake cables, brake calipers or brake discs have been renewed.
–  Remove rear ashtray from centre console.
   
–  Place handbrake lever in rest position. Tighten adjustment nut -2- ...

–  ... until levers -1- at brake calipers are lifted off stop -2-.

–  The distance -a- to the stop -2- on both the right and left brake caliper together must not be less than 1 mm nor greater than 4 mm.
The distance on one side must be greater than 0 mm, however not greater than 3 mm.
–  Apply handbrake firmly 3 times and then release.
–  With handbrake released, check whether both wheels turn freely. Check whether the distances -a- meet specifications.
If necessary, adjust via the adjustment nut.
  Note
Due to the automatic adjustment of the rear brake, it is no longer necessary to re-adjust the handbrake after performing initial adjustment.
