| Use the brake filling and bleeding equipment -VAS 5234- to extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir. |

| Before removing brake caliper or disconnecting brake hose from brake caliper, insert brake pedal actuator -V.A.G 1869/2- to prevent brake fluid reservoir from emptying completely. |
WARNING | After installing the brake pads, depress pedal firmly several times with the vehicle stationary, so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position. |

| Install all parts supplied in repair kit. |

| After renewing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the pads are properly seated in their normal operating position. |

Note
| Bleed brake caliper at each bleeder screw. |

| Unscrew for removal of brake caliper |
Note
| Always renew bolts if removed |
Note
| Do not suspend from brake hose after removal. Secure it to the body with a suitable wire. |

| Remove brake caliper prior to removing |

| Before fitting pads, clean guides and apply a thin coating of grease → ETKA. |
| Before fitting pads, peel off adhesive foil |

| Insert pad wear indicator wire in retaining clip. Only installed in left brake caliper |

| Take care not to scratch or damage the brake caliper during removal and installation |

| Screw into brake caliper |
| Tightening torque for brake hose to brake caliper for RS 3: 35 Nm |
Note
| Ensure that hose is seated correctly in bracket. Do not twist when fitting |
