Removing brake disc
Removing brake disc
  Note
Depending on the model, the brake carrier may have to be removed before removing the brake disc.
Removing
l  Rear wheels removed.
–  Detach brake hose from bracket.
  Note
t  Use suitable pliers to press brake pads slightly into brake caliper.
t  This makes it easier to pull the brake carrier off the brake disc.
   
–  Remove bolts -1- and detach brake carrier -11-.
–  Pull brake carrier off brake disc with brake caliper attached.
–  Use a suitable length of wire to tie up brake carrier with brake caliper on body.
  Caution
Do not suspend the brake carrier from the brake hose. The brake hose must not be allowed to support the weight of the brake carrier. The brake hose must be renewed if it is damaged.
–  Remove bolt -8- on brake disc (hold brake disc in place).
–  Remove brake disc.
Installing
–  Clean contact surfaces on wheel hub and brake disc.
–  Fit brake disc onto wheel hub.
  A46-10002
–  Tighten bolt -8- (4 Nm).
–  Slide brake carrier -11- with brake caliper and brake pads fitted over brake disc.
–  Secure brake carrier with bolts -1-: 90 Nm and turn 90° further.
–  Insert brake hose in bracket.
–  Fit wheels → Wheels and tyres; Rep. gr.44.
  Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is driven on the road.
