Removing and installing rear splash plate > < Detaching and attaching rear brake disc

Renewing rear brake disc
Removing
–  Raise the vehicle.
–  Remove wheels.
–  Unclip brake hose and electrical wire from retainer on hub carrier.
–  Remove rear brake pads → Chapter.
–  Remove bolts -16 and 17- and detach brake carrier.
   

   
–  Remove locating bolt -arrow-, holding brake disc in position.
–  Take brake disc off wheel hub.
  Note
Take care to keep the brake disc straight when taking it off the wheel hub.
Installing
Clean brake disc, wheel hub and contact surfaces before installing.
–  Fit brake disc onto wheel hub.

Take care to keep the brake disc straight when fitting it onto the wheel hub.

–  Screw in locating bolt -arrow- and tighten.
–  Install rear brake carrier. Fit bolts -16 and 17- and tighten.

  Note
Use extension (commercially available) to tighten bottom bolt -16-. Top bolt -17- can be tightened without extension. Wheel housing liner must be slightly pressed aside.
–  Install rear brake pads → Chapter.
–  Clip brake hose and electrical wire into retainer on hub carrier.
  Note
Make sure that brake hose is properly clipped into retainer on hub carrier and securely seated. Otherwise, there is a risk that the brake hose will not remain in the retainer.
–  Fit wheels.
Tightening torque for wheel bolts → Rep. gr.44
–  Lower vehicle.
