Note:
Special Tool 11 3 320 is provided for adjusting timing
intervals when using new or existing chains up to a mileage of
20 000 km (12 000 miles).
If chains with a recorded mileage in excess of 20 000 km are
reused, install a shim (feeler gauge) of A = 4.5 mm.
Rotate engine from 30
°
before TDC position enginewise to TDC
position.
Hold crankshaft in TDC position with special tool 11 2 300.
Caution!
Remove special tool 11 2 300 before switching on the
engine.
Fit sprocket and chain.
Fit screw with no clearance.
