INTRODUCTION - REAR AXLE

1.4 16v

The transmission is the type with wheel side constant velocity joints and gearbox side three lobe joints.

The right axle shaft has a hot-fitted vibration damper weight, which therefore cannot be replaced in a service situation.

INTRODUCTION - REAR AXLE

1.4 16v TJet, 1.9 JTD 8v, 1.9 JTD 16v

The transmission is the type with wheel side constant velocity joints and gearbox side three lobe joints.

An intermediate axle shaft transmits drive to the right axle shaft, which is the same as the left.

This solution allows drive torque to be distributed in a perfectly symmetrical manner over both wheels.

This avoids curving of the longer axle shaft through bending, due to the drive torque transmitted, which could cause vibrations to the dynamic geometry of the vehicle.
