1. Disconnect the clutch cable acting on the nut (1) and the lock nut (2) shown in the diagram. Also disconnect the earth cable (3) from the gearbox.
2. Disconnect the upper gearbox control lever acting on the nut shown in the diagram.
3. Drain the power assisted steering fluid from the reservoir.
4. Disconnect the union (1), shown in the diagram, from the power assisted steering box, taking care to place a suitable container underneath to collect the fluid remaining inside the pipe.
5. Undo the bolts fixing the power assisted steering fluide reservoir to the bulkhead between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment; temporarily fix the reservoir to the engine as appropriate.
