Operation 5020M10 · SUPPLEMENTARY INDEPENDENT HEATER

Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

- Raise the vehicle on a lift.

- Position a suitable container for collecting the fuel.

- Position a suitable container for collecting the coolant.

1. Support the weight of the heater unit and undo the bolts (1a) and the nuts (1b) fixing the independent heater unit mounting bracket.

1. Disconnect the fuel inlet pipe loosening the fastening band.

2. Disconnect the coolant inlet and outlet pipes loosening the fastening bands.

Mark one of the two pipes to prevent them being incorrectly connected when refitting.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the independent heater unit and release it from the mounting bracket.

- Remove the independent heater unit.

Refitting

- Connect the electrical connector for the heater unit.

- Connect the engine coolant inlet and outlet pipes to the independent heater unit using the special fastening bands.

- Connect the fuel supply pipe to the independent heater unit using the special fastening band.

- Secure the independent heater unit support to the bodyshell tightening the nuts and bolts to the recommended torque.

- Lower the vehicle on the lift.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.
