2. Removing

ESSENTIAL : Respect the safety and cleanliness recommendations that are specific to high pressure diesel injection (HDi) engines.

CAUTION : After switching off the ignition, wait 15 minutes before disconnecting the battery (to guarantee that the initialisations of the various ECUs are memorised).

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

Remove :

  • The power unit assembly (see the relevant operation)
  • The auxiliary equipment drive belt (see the relevant operation)

Remove the 2 camshaft main bearing cap casing plugs (2).

N.B. : The tools [0191-2B] must screw into the camshaft main bearing cap casing.

Rotate the crankshaft until the tools [0191-2B] engage in the camshafts.
