Operation 1092A10 · CRANKSHAFT PULLEY AND IDLE PULLEYS

1.9 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R

Op. 7055B66 ENGINE COMPARTMENT DUST COVER IN RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ARCH - R.R.

Op. 1092G10 SINGLE ENGINE BELT - R.R

1. Undo screws (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1c).

1. Undo the bolts and remove the lower flywheel guard.

2. Fit the flywheel lock.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove service pulley (1b).

Refitting

- Position the service pulley in its housing and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Remove the flywheel lock.

- Place the lower flywheel guard in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

- Place the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket in its housing and secure it using the screws and bolt.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

FOR VERSIONS WITH AIR CONDITIONING:

Op. 1092G10 SINGLE ENGINE BELT - R.R

FOR VERSIONS WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING:

Op. 1092B60 ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT - R + R

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the service pulley on the crankshaft (1b).

Refitting

- Position the service pulley on the crankshaft in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

FOR VERSIONS WITH AIR CONDITIONING:

Op. 1092G10 SINGLE ENGINE BELT - R.R

FOR VERSIONS WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING:

Op. 1092B60 ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT - R + R

Removing

FOR AIR CONDITIONED VERSIONS:

FOR NON AIR CONDITIONED VERSIONS:

Op. 1092B60 ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT - R + R

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the service pulley on the crankshaft (1b).

Refitting

- Position the service pulley on the crankshaft in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

FOR AIR CONDITIONED VERSIONS:

Op. 1092G10 SINGLE ENGINE BELT - R.R

FOR NON AIR CONDITIONED VERSIONS:

Op. 1092B60 ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT - R + R

1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R

Op. 7055B66 ENGINE COMPARTMENT DUST COVER IN RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ARCH - R.R.

Op. 1092G10 SINGLE ENGINE BELT - R.R

1. Fit a suitable (6 mm diameter) peg via the special opening in the gearbox to be used for counter-torque.

Check that the peg is correctly inserted in the housing in the flywheel.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the crankshaft pulley (1b).

Refitting

- Position the crankshaft pulley in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Remove the peg from the opening in the gearbox.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the service pulley on the crankshaft (1b).

Refitting

- Position the service pulley on the crankshaft in its housing and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
