SIDE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

The side lights are switched on directly by the Body Computer Node at the same time as the number plate lights.

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	With the ignition ON, turn the ring nut on the steering column switch unit to the side lights and check that the side lights and the number plate lights come on. Turn the ignition off, press the parking lights button on the switch panel unit, and check that the side lights and number plate lights come on	End of diagnosis	None of the lights come on in any conditions	Continue according to the instructions See table I01 SIDE LIGHTS/NO. 			The parking lights do not work	Continue according to the instructions See table I02 PARKING LIGHTS NOT WORKING

1	CHECKING WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic equipment and check that there are no faults at the Body Computer Node	Continue to Step 2	Body Computer faulty	Continue according to the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2	CHECKING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the bulbs. Check the continuity and insulation of the wiring for the front and rear side lights See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS	Continue to Step 3	Front bulbs blown	Replace the bulbs Op. 5540B32
			Rear bulbs burnt out	Replace the bulb Op. 5540A50
			Connections broken/short circuited	Renew the electrical connections See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
3	CHECK WITH DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected, check the operation of the side lights through active diagnosis	Continue to Step 4	None of the side lights come on	Replace the Body Computer Op. 5505A32
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis
