  1. Loosen the gear case guard screw.
  2. Unscrew the gear case guard screws.
  3. Remove the gear case guard.

  1. Unscrew the nuts (1a) and the screws (1b) of the crank case sump.

  1. Heat the oil sump junction area for about 15 minutes to soften the gasket.

  • To release the sump, knock it lightly with a resin hammer, then lever with a screwdriver on the protrusions of the crank case.
  • Remove the sump from the crank case.
  • Carefully remove the gasket from the contact surfaces of the sump and the crankcase .

Refitting

  • Apply sealant along the whole sump perimeter.

  • Mount the crankcase sump.
  • Tighten the crankcase nuts to correct torque
