  • Lift the power unit with the hydraulic trestle.
  • Unscrew (1a) the gear case guard screws (1b) and remove.

  • Lower the power unit and place it on a pallet.
  • Unscrew the screws that join the gearbox to the engine.

  1. Unscrew the nut that joins the gearbox to the engine.

  1. Separate the gearbox from the engine.

Reassembly

  • Sling and support the power unit with a hydraulic trestle.
  • Join the gearbox to the engine.
  • Tighten the screws and nut that join gearbox and engine to the correct torque

  • Tighten the starter motor screws to correct torque

  • Lift the power unit with the hydraulic trestle.
  • Assemble the gear case guard .
  • Tighten the guard screws to correct torque

  • Lower the power unit and place it on a pallet.
  • Free the power unit from the sling.
