Unscrew the nuts that fasten the exhaust pipe to the manifold.
Before removing the exhaust pipe make sure that the lambda sensor electric cable does not remain entangled.
Refitting
Assemble the exhaust pipe. Tighten the exhaust pipe - manifold fastening nuts to correct torque
Fastening Component Ø Value (daNm) - Nut EXHAUST MANIFOLD M8 3.2
Return the support bracket to its original position. Tighten the catalytic converter front flange nuts to correct torque
Fastening Component Ø Value (daNm) - Nut CATALYTIC CONVERTER M8 2.5
Lower the vehicle. Connect the lambda sensor electrical connection and insert the cable in the mounting.
Name Connector - Lambda sensor K40
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal Close the engine compartment. Remove the vehicle from the hoist. 1076B58 - EXHAUST PIPE ATTACHMENT TO ENGINE SEAL/S - REPLACE
Place the car on a hoist and raise it. Unscrew the nuts (1a) fastening the exhaust pipe (1b) to the manifold. Move the exhaust pipe and remove the attachment seal.
Assemble a new attachment seal and return the exhaust pipe to its original position. Tighten the exhaust pipe - manifold fastening nuts to correct torque
Fastening Component Ø Value (daNm) - Nut EXHAUST MANIFOLD M8 3.2
Lower the car and remove it from the hoist.
