  1. Unscrew the nuts arm carrier shaft support screws.

  1. Remove the rocker arm carrier shaft together with supports, rocker arms and hydraulic tappets.

  • Remove the timing system hydraulic tappet cases (see Op. 1036H50 HYDRAULIC TAPPET (ONE) - Replace with rocker arm carrier shafts removed).

Refitting

  • Assemble the timing system hydraulic tappet cases (see Op. 1036H50 HYDRAULIC TAPPET (ONE) - Replace with rocker arm carrier shaft removed).
  • Reposition the rocker arm carrier shaft together with supports, rocker arms and hydraulic tappets.
  • Tighten the rocker arm carrier shaft support screws to correct torque

- Nut ROCKER ARM CARRIER SHAFT SUPPORT M10 3.9
  • Complete with Op. 1016A22 TAPPET COVER with supply duct - R+R and replace gasket.
  • Complete with Op. 1068A10 ACCELERATOR PEDAL CONTROL - Check, adjustment if necessary and lubrication.
  • Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

  • Remove the body protection cover.
  • Close the engine compartment.
  • Remove the vehicle from the hoist.
