OPERATIONS

1032A10 - TIMING SYSTEM CHAIN AND GEAR - R+R FOR TIMING TUNING OR TO REPLACE

Removal

• Position the vehicle on a hoist.
• Open the engine compartment.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Raise the vehicle.
• Remove the front right wheel (see Op. 4450B10 WHEEL (one) front - R+R).
• Remove the right supplementary wheel housing(see Op. 7055B42 SUPPLEMENTARY WHEEL HOUSING (one) - R+R).
• Follow Op. 1020A10 CRANKCASE OIL SUMP - R+R and replace gasket.
• Follow Op. 1020B10 COVER OF TIMING SYSTEM with chain drive - R+R and replace gasket.
• Remove the engine flywheel stop fixture used to remove the crankshaft pulley
