PRECAUTIONS

When operating on electric components always attain to the following precautions.

• Remove rings, wrist watches or other metal objects.
• Before intervening on the electric system (connectors, electric devices, wiring, etc.) DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
• Beware of electric arcs. Although the battery voltage is 12V, the battery can output high currents in the event of a short circuit. This can cause arcs or sparks which can be dangerous to the operator or could be the cause of fire.
• Beware of high voltage. The electronic ignition system can generate voltages of 20,000V or more. This can be extremely dangerous. Work with extreme caution on or near components.
• Beware of fire. Never smoke when working near the battery or components subject to heating during operation (e.g. halogen lights) nor in the engine compartment when the engine is warm. Avoid burns or damage to tools and components.

Removal

1. Remove the cover (1a) located on the rear of the dome (1b).

1. Remove the screw fastening the dome to the dashboard.

1. Remove the dome from its seat and disconnect the rev counter electric connections.

• Remove the rev counter.

Refitting

• Reconnect the rev counter electric connection.
• Position the rev counter in its seat and screw the screw fastening it to the dashboard.

• Fit the cover on the dome.
